Moms, you deserve to be in the photos, too

Moms, you deserve to be in the photos, too

Don’t get me wrong, we love (and we mean LOVE) showing off photos of our children on social media. Pretty sure every parent is guilty of that.

In life, and online, you become your child’s “plus one.” And while we’ll never be mad about that, all of the sudden you’ve gone missing. You’re the one capturing all the moments, so you’re always the one behind the camera — never in the photos.

At least for us, that was a sad realization. We want our children to have photos to look back on when they’re older and see not only themselves but the love we had for them.

We teamed up with Sugarr Photos for a Mommy & Me Moments photo and video session to capture the love between us and our little ones.

Also, did you catch that? We said VIDEO. She made each of us a personalized video! We can’t wait to watch this at our babies’ high school graduation and bawl our eyes out.

We hope this inspires you to get in front of the camera, even when you don’t feel pretty. We think you’ll love looking back at how much you’ve grown as a woman and a family after your child is grown.

XOXO, Abby & Keiko

Awwww, yaay! I LOVE this. It’s so true. And I think it’s something we shouldn’t be afraid to bring up with our partners/spouses. “Hey babe, can you try and get some pictures of me with the baby from time to time”? — There’s no shame at all in that!

Yes! I always feel weird asking to be in the photos, so I rarely ever do. But I’m always glad after 🙂 XOXO, Keiko
